Picara Baby Carriers is a business based out of the San Francisco Bay Area that manufactures 3 styles of fashionable baby carriers for today's parents. Heather Pierini started the business in 2002, just after her daughter, Sarah, was born and it has grown and grown since then. Picara Baby Carriers started off originally offering basic ring slings on consignment to local baby boutiques. Over the years they introduced new styles of carriers and an organic line to offer as many options as possible for parents. As of today, Picara Baby Carriers are available in over two dozen stores both online and in person.
What Bay Area Mommy loves most about the Picara Baby Carriers company is that they also sponsor a nonprofit program that provides babywearing education and a free baby carrier to at risk parents. Click on the Held and Happy link on their website to read more about their non-profit program.
